Over the Handle bars, and through the bike trail a traveling to the Urgent care we will go...

Rich and I spent most of the night at the Urgent Care Center (close to Aplachian ER here in Sac). I received that call at work that you never want to recieve, "I've hurt myself, I think I need to go to the Urgent Care." Thats all he said and I was off, out to my car. And then a recieve a call enroute from our neighbor, Nelson (who we love) asking when I was going to be there, as Rich was not doing well. I was just blocks away...I wisked in, picked him up and off to Urgent Care. Dude was not happy, and although I tried to miss the bumps in the road the rain has really reaked havoc with our roads and in the Fourrunner, bumpy is part of the gig. So one and a half painful hours waiting to even be igknowledged, once he was in, I was stuck waiting. Then the nurse comes out and calls for "Kris" and I look around, no one knows my name, but she said that I need to help. So Rich flirted through his pain with all the nurses, who I must say were awesome once they were engaged and the Dr. couldn't have been more coordial and calm. He was great and for the first time that night (read three and a half hours later) Rich could breathe a sigh of releif. No broken Collar Bone, no dislocation just an excuriating shoulder separation. We are hoping for a quick recovery, since we have had plans for months to Kayak the Statue of Liberty during our New York vacation in June. But he's tough, you ask how tough...tough enough to know that after he was thrown from his bike behind Cal Expo, that he had to get his raggity arse back on the bike and ride one-handed seven miles home. He is a stud, one who is sleeping under a Viacadan enduced fog right now but a STUD.
ps. sorry for the lack of spellcheck, can't figure the fraking thing out.
